To further establish A Hopeful Encounter’s presence in the local Fresno community, we began offering our free Youth Sports Clinic beginning in 2017. The Youth Sports Clinic is held annually following our Showdown For Hope Sports Tournament. It’s a free event offered for Pre-K through 6th Grade boys and girls teaching the fundamentals of soccer, volleyball, and flag football. This event allows for the reigning champs from our Showdown For Hope Tournament to  give back to the community and teach our youths what it means to be more than just an athlete. From leadership skills to team building exercises, our coaches teach elementary school students that being a great athlete is more than just having skills, but also having the right attitude, and the discipline to making the right decisions for both themselves and the team.
